Heny - Host of Giava House

Hi! I'm Heny, the owner and host of Giava House. This special place was born from my desire to create a friendly and relaxing space where guests can feel at home. Located inside the residence The Araya, one of the most exclusive areas of the city, our house combines modern comfort with an authentic tropical atmosphere.

We have taken care of every detail to ensure you an unforgettable stay: a tropical garden with outdoor shower, modern and minimalist furnishings, and a strategic position to explore Mount Bromo and the beauty of Malang.

Originally from Indonesia, I lived abroad for many years, but the call of my homeland and its natural wonders inspired me to create Giava House. I currently live in Italy and am naturally influenced by Italian culture.

By the way... I left a few things from Italy in my garden: a fig tree and three rosemary plants. In Indonesia, we mostly use it to keep mosquitoes away, but I know very well how to cook with it! 😊 In the kitchen I also left my moka pot! Anyone knows it?

If you don’t know how to use it, ask Agus! And if you need to clean it… please don’t use soap, just hot water!

Agus - Our co-host

Agus is my brother and also our co-host at Giava House. He welcomes guests, manages check-in, and ensures everything is perfect during your stay. He lives in Malang and knows the area better than anyone!

If you need help, transport information, or want to organize an excursion to Mount Bromo, Agus will be happy to assist. Although he speaks little English, he knows how to communicate and will always be available 😊

Fefè - our Architect

Fefè was the practical and creative soul behind the realization of Giava House. She personally oversaw every phase of the construction site, coordinating her team with precision and passion. Together, they completed the project with dedication, speed, and great attention to detail. Thanks to her, in just two weeks, the house went from a design on paper being in a real, livable space ready to welcome guests from all over the world.
